Colorado Lava was
purchased in 2000 from Colorado Aggregate.
Colorado Aggregate was in operation for
nearly 40 years and a well known company
in the lava rock industry. Colorado
Lava has its corporate headquarters in
Rock Island, Illinois while mining
operations are located in Rio Arriba
County and Union County, New Mexico. We also have
manufacturing and bagging plants
in Antonito, Colorado and Des Moines,
New Mexico. We supply various
lava products to customers nationwide via
truck and rail.
Our product base is bulk
and bagged lava products. We have made
available several different bulk rock
products in 2009. The addition of these
items has allowed us to broaden our
customer base significantly. As we grow
and try to adapt to the ever-changing
industry, we welcome your thoughts and
