What: Lava rock, created millenniums ago from molten rock, is an all- natural landscape material used in landscaping as a groundcover, mulch or garden accent. It is also used as pond linings for its exceptional ability for pond plants to establish quickly. Lava Rock has also been used as a media for bio-filters.
